On 21 April 1985 The South African Hairdressers and Cosmetology Association
awarded Renier Maritz
the Master’s Certificate in Afro and Caucasian hair.
Renier established a very well appointed salon in The Firs, Rosebank, called Renier of Rosebank. Achieving the very prestigious award from Redken, “ Business Excellence Award”. Attending many training programs, he gained great knowledge in the hairdressing industry.
Due to working hours and travelling time Renier decide to return to Vereeniging to be with his family. This ended the 15 year trade in Rosebank, Johannesburg.
12 years ago Renier opened his new salon , Renier the Make-over specialist, at home , and his expertise in the hair and beauty industries have gone from strength to strength.
He has furthered his qualification to teach hairdressing at a Hair College and to mark trade exams at a trade test center.
Lecture in Hairdressing
Renier was assisting with the training of hair stylists at Sedibeng TVET College, Style Pro Academy and Soma Sense Beauty and Hair Training Academy in Vanderbijl park . He is now doing private classes at the salon.
